Lavastone Steakhouse & Adstragold Microbrewery

Panda showed me a special steakhouse a few months back and I've decided to bring him there for Saturday chill out. We visited Lavastone Steakhouse & Adstragold yesterday!

So.. what is so special about this Lavastone Steakhouse? As the name implies, the steak is being grill on a Lavastone. Basically, they allow you to "grill the way you like" as they serve the steak on a hot lavastone.
They also publicise that there is no oil, no fire and no charcoal used in the process, the lavastone is really thick and hot enough for you to grill it yourself. Healthy and fun way to eat your steak!

I love the steak although i'm a new eater for beef, its really juicy! They offer premium thick cut steak so you can really enjoy the steak from raw to well done depending on you! 

Does my steak look nice? Haha.. they have sea salt and pepper for you to add and i simply love the juicy thick steak, it does not get cook too fast so no worries that it will be over grilled. There is no sauce but i love it this way cause i get to taste the original juicy steak! Panda took wagyu and i took the ribeye. Actually, i don't really think there is a big big different between both. Wagyu definitely taste softer and even when its cooked it taste more juicy and tender compare to ribeye. But but but.. i wouldn't say the different is very big, Ribeye is good enough for me!

Btw, you can actually RSVP on their FB before going down and they will offer you "Free up size", a bigger steak!!! Great right? I actually RSVP for Sirloin but when i visit the shop, the Sirloin was sold out so they gave me free upgrade to Ribeye!!! *thumbs up* Great service!!!!

After having the steak, we went in to Adstragold to have their in house beer and some other food.

(Lavastone is under Adstragold but you can only enjoy your steak at the outdoor area then proceed into the bar if you want to chill out)

The beer taste quite good, i ordered the Apple Summer Wheat as recommended by the staff and Panda took Adstrapple Cider (The lighter coloured one). Both taste good, its refreshing and not so bitter:)

Adstragold also broadcast the EPL too so its a great place to chill out with great food and a gang of buddies. Panda is so so in love with their pizza and oyster! I didn't try the oyster but Panda is giving the oyster full marks cause its super fresh and cold! 

The oyster look really really nice right? Adstragold have promo in Aug, just RSVP at their facebook before going down to enjoy free oyster upgrade! Their oyster have different size, ranges from S,SM,M to L!!! I did RSVP on their FB so panda get to enjoy the SM-M size oyster at the price of S size ($1.99 per piece).

We are The Furballs (WTF)

Last weekend i pop by Katong with panda and we randomly pass by this Dog Petting Cafe! Apparently, its seems to be the first and only Dog Petting Cafe in Singapore.

Okay.. Before anyone gets confused, let me explain the difference of WTF and normal Dog Cafe.

Normal dog cafe basically allows you to bring your dog to dine in with you but WTF do not. WTF has their own in house dog and you are not allowed to bring in your own doggies.

The concept is more for those who loves dog but don't have dogs at home. So you can visit WTF to play, pat and hug the in house doggies!
Great concept! It originated from Japan cat cafe concept, they juz switch the cats to doggies:)

So.. Pardon me but i'll go crazy abit caz i simply love love love doggies! *JUMP*

ATTENTION TO DOG LOVERS WHO ARE UNABLE TO KEEP DOGGIE AT HOME, THIS IS A PLACE YOU SHOULD NOT MISS!!

They are located along Katong Shopping Centre that road, next to 328 Laksa.
Admission charges
: Weekend $10.50 per entry with one free drink
: Weekday $9.50 per entry with one free drink
*Remember to bring some cash with you caz they only accept cash payment

Plus point here is admission charge by entry and not per hour. So you can stay as long as you want! They do sell some pasta and food where you can enjoy at a corner without the doggie and re-enter again (don't need to pay again) after you are done! You can bring your drinks in but place it on the table to keep away from the doggies.

There is a bell for you to ring if you see any poos or urine. The staff comes immediately and clean it off. They do spray some kind of anti bacteria stuff so i guess its still quiet clean. The whole place including the doggies are well maintained with no weird smell! *Thumbs Up*

They have a claw machine at the side, each try is $1. Coins can be exchange at the cashier. You get to "win" some dog snacks from the claw machine to lure the dogs to you.I didn't take a picture of the machine but its a small claw machine often seen around some neighborhood shop, not those arcade type.

It will really be much better if they sell the dog treats but i guess this is a source of income for them and to avoid over feeding too. >.<

Some personal tips, don't use the dog food all at once. Juz use one by one to lure them to your lap and feed them caz most doggie juz eat and leave immediately to find other people with food.

Good news is that not all doggies are interested in food. Lulu, Mochi and Lola are not those that you can win over by food. Lulu and Mochi simply love sleeping on humans lap. Do be cautious as Lola might bite if you suddenly touch her or catch her.

One of the lady who seems like the boss told me that Lola will be afraid of people catching her, she will play with you if you are a regular though. She does come over and let you touch if you have food sometime.

I didn't have much time with Lola caz her "bf" was there when i visited.  According to the boss, this guy visits Lola evey week and Lola simply like him alot. She will not interact with other customer when he is around.

Well.... Since my own dog died 2 years ago, i didn't have a chance to hug a dog anymore. So this was really a very happy experience for me.  So, let me cut the talking and  share some picture i took!

Yuki-chan :) She is one of the most gentle dog there. She look really similar like Lola, just that she is darker..

Intro about Myself

Finally i'm back to blogging! The last time i've blog was like 5 years ago! *guilty*

Just wanna share more about myself and my tots but i find FB not really a good place to post lengthly post. Inspired by all the blog reviews that i've read so i'm going to do some food and products review in future too:) Hope i can provide useful info for all!

Hmm.. First post is always weird caz its hard to start, to be exact, i dunno where to start!*scratch head* Guess i'll do a short intro first *Dear Friends, if you alrdy know me, kindly skip this boring part yourself.*

So... Here i go..
I'm Jessica, 22 this year.
Graduated from NP Business Studies and currently working as Admin Exec/ CSO:)
Customer service was not what i wanted to do at first but i step too deep into it and i can't pull myself out already~  Anw.. Its not that bad after all caz i get to meet different type of people!

Done with the super short intro and  let me juz intro a person that i will be saying frequently in my future post.For most that knows, my bf is commonly known as Panda, there is a lame story behind it but  i'll share it next time if i have the chance..
